Chronic Pain Patients and Caregivers (Weyauwega and Surrounding areas)

Actually, your location means nothing. It would be how far you would be willing to travel.
I`ve been thinking for a long time about the many people living in Chronic pain as I do, and of our friends who have a hard time unerstanding what is going on with us.

I have been wondering if there would be any interest in forming a group where we could discuss some of our problems and give our friends a chance to understand how our days can change from day to day. A true friend will stick with you and try to understand, others will just find their way out of life. Which is hard for a person living in our condition to have to live with. Sometimes getting together just to talk, or to see what someone else might have to offer us in ways of coping with our lives is a big help.

There are times when our family and friends to not understand the need we have for the mediction we take and look down on us for it. They don`t kow the whys, and that we are not addicts. We need them for a normal life.

If anyone would be interested in a group like this,please notify me. If I could get enough people interested I would be willing to try and find a place to meet, or possible we could open our homes to such a group once a month or so. It could be a great help to many who live in pain daily. After living nearly half my life this way I have been doing lots of research and am willing to add whatever I could to the group. Sometimes, just a hug from someone who understands can make our world look and feel brighter.

Eating Disorders Anonymous (Harmony Cafe, Appleton)

A new Eating Disorders Anonymous (EDA) support group is meeting weekly at Harmony Cafe on 233 College Ave in Appleton on Fridays from 6-7pm in the "Red Room" (in the far upper level)

There are no dues or fees to attend, and the only requirement for membership is a desire to recover from an eating disorder. The group follows the 12 step format utilized by AA, and is focused on sharing our experience, strength and hope in maintaining recovery from eating disorders.
