"Neighbor helping Neighbor" In these times of strained budgets, personnel cuts, health threats, and potential disasters, let us lend a helping hand. Sign up for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training! Learn valuable life saving skills including: fire safety, disaster preparedness, triage and disaster first aid, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster psychology. The knowledge and skills you develop may save yourself, your family, your community. Enroll with a family member, coworker, or friend from your neighborhood. We need engaged citizens to take action! The CERT training includes 20 hours of hands-on and classroom instruction. The upcoming class will be held at St. Norbert College on Nov. 2,3,9, and 10 from 5-10 p.m. (there will be 20 minutes allowed for dinner, so consider bringing a brown bag meal). The training is FREE and includes a backpack, reflective vest, helmet, safety glasses, and work gloves.
