We're a folk-rock duo with roughly 25 original songs in various stages of composition/completion. We'll be starting live performances in June. Some of our songs/concepts are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pdrjze01862bsl2/AACBizhW22sLabHP6yNGKUq4a?dl=0
We seek a new band member with unique skills: someone who can be the on-stage Soundmaster for the band. (Like a Jam-Master J, version 2.0). So, you'd be a member of the band, and during live performances you'd handle electronic beats, samples, etc.
The ideal person would have most or all these qualities:
-- You have strong stage-presence; or believe you will, if it'll be your first time on stage.
-- You are skilled with computer and music programs, and looping, sampling, etc.
-- Ideally, you'd have your own equipment. (Although we have some; the main equipment here would be an iPad or Apple laptop/device with Garageband, and device[s] to sample and loop a bunch of sounds and recordings).
-- You know Garageband well, and can adeptly play sounds from Garageband live on stage, e.g. beat loops, instrument and vocal samples we record in advance, etc.
-- You are good with synth sounds.
-- If you can play piano, theremin and/or harmonica too, that'd be a big bonus (but not required-- we realize the above attributes are already more than enough to ask for :) ).
-- You are open-minded about composition and like to collaborate.
-- You listened to our music (per link above), and you are inspired to join us. (If our music does NOT inspire you, that's totally fine of course; we believe life is too short to work on stuff that doesn't inspire us).
If you have most or all the qualities above, please reply to us -- Mike and Tyler -- and we'd love to talk more. Thanks, dude[tte].
