Selling my Camaro - a 1980 Berlinetta body on a 1975 chassis + title. I’ve owned it for two years, but plans have changed. I don’t need to sell, but I’d like to recoup some of what I have into it — about $12–14k total.
Asking price OBO. From my estimates, it needs around $5k more to get it driving on the road.
Condition & Body
- Floor pans patched with brand new AMD panels (driver front/rear), welded and sealed; interior coated in Rustoleum.
- A few rust spots/holes on the body; underbody is solid.
- Includes two hoods, two trunk lids, and two rear spoilers (grey and red sets).
- All glass included except windshield (includes T-tops, side glass for power & manual setups, and two rear glass sets - one with defrost).
- Chrome rear bumper cover
Drivetrain
- 5.3L LM7 V8 (from 2004 Avalanche, 190k mi) — pulled from a running truck.
- Aluminum cathedral-port intake w/ 102mm cable-driven throttle body
- Low-profile oil pan (new filter), stock headers, radiator from another 2nd-gen Camaro
- Photos of internals available; taken when oil pan was replaced
- Accessories (alternator, PS pump, water pump) included but not mounted
- Includes new oil and supplies
- T56 6-speed transmission — rebuilt, needs new bearing races for midplate and some gaskets. All gears smooth; includes master/slave cylinders, LS bellhousing, shims, and reservoir.
Will need bearing races to be complete
- Hooker BlackHeart T56 crossmember (new, from Holley 3/2024) - not installed
- Driveshaft in box
- Torque converter & flywheel included (from original automatic setup)
Parts & Extras
The car is loaded with parts inside and in boxes — enough to nearly complete the interior and drivetrain swap:
- New fuel tank, extra brake lines/fittings, fluids, sound deadening
- Passenger seat w/ brackets, grey carpet
- Windshield trim, seatbelts, dash w/ gauge cluster, and climate controls
- Grey door skins
- Gas/brake/clutch pedals
- Hood pins, lug nuts for turbine wheels
- Gaskets (new): timing cover & rear main seal
- Wiring harnesses: 1975 Camaro, 1996 Camaro Z28, and 2004 Avalanche
- Multiple exhaust sections (true duals with mufflers + Avalanche midpipe w/ cats & O2 sensors)
Wheels:
(4) Western Turbine style — 2 hold air & mounted on rear, 2 don’t
(4) Rally style — all 4 hold air, 2 mounted up front
Engine stand can be included.
