The Hut is a 4-bedroom log home built in 1996 on the former site of a small Red Cottage which overlooked Big Hills Lake since the 1940's
Below the Hut is 100 feet of private sandy beach sinking gently into the lake providing an excellent, safe swimming area.
Prime summer time weeks are still available.
Looking to rent a few more weeks next summer, discount for multi-week rental or combined multi-week rental with friends or family where Hut cleaning not required.
The Hut is generally available on a weekly basis in summer for $2100/week, plus .055% county/state sales tax.
Saturday check-in/check out is preferred, but we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Summer stays of more than 1 week are offered a discount. In the off-season, rates are negotiable and we will consider renting for shorter periods of time.
The Hut cannot be sublet and guests must be listed on the rental contract. Beyond that we"re always open to negotiate for stays longer than the traditional 7 summer days.
The 1st 7 days costs $2100 ($300/Day - our regular summer rate), additional days $250/day (1st four days), $225/day beyond that. Longer stays can be negotiated.

The Hut is located on Big Hills Lake in Waushara County, Wisconsin near the towns of Wild Rose, Mt. Morris, Saxville and Wautoma. We provide camp fire wood, lakeside fire pit, gas and solid fuel grills, canoes and kayaks, washer/dryer, air conditioning and wireless internet service in and near the building. There is a dock extending into the lake, and a public landing if you bring a motor boat.
There are several beautiful golf courses in the area, Nordic Mountain Ski/Snowboard Hill, many public trout streams, snowmobile trails and area attractions and restaurants. The Hut is also 27 miles from Lake Poygan/and the Wolf and Fox River system.
We may also offer access to near-by 40 acres of camping, ATV trails and a private target shooting range.
