I will sell just the motor for the price of the firetruck, buyer to remove motor, forklift on site.
1996 Sutphen custom pumper fire truck that served a small single station municipal fire department. Engine served as primary response pumper until 2006, from 2006 to 2023 as a backup pumper, 2023 to present in private hands. From new through 2023 semi annual preventative and corrective maintenance was performed by City mechanics and outside EVT certified shop. Truck drives, stops, and pumps very well, last pump tested in 2021, no DEF required. This truck would be great for a municipality wanting a better truck or as an interim truck while their new one is being built, for someone with large irrigation/pump requirements (think quarry), or for a semi with a tired Series 60 for an engine swap. Many new fire trucks are plagued with electronic pump controls, this truck features mainly more reliable mechanical pump controls. The power is the legendary 12.7L DDEC3 Series 60 motor (this one set at 430 hp at 2100 rpm) with only 4385 hours. Allison HD4060P transmission. Hale fire pump 1500 gpm model QSMG-150, has electric pressure governor with 6" electric slow open valve, 500 gallon water tank. Body is stainless steel and cab is aluminum; body has a generator compartment that is wired to four 110v scene lights mounted on body. Dimensions: length 31 feet, width 135 inches mirrors out, 105 inches mirrors turned in, height 122 inches. Truck is nearly 30 years old, so not perfect; some things requiring attention include A/C doesn’t work, driver’s seat needs to be reupholstered, one cab marker light out, and the speedometer works only intermittently.
