If you're having a tree or trees taken down on your property, let's turn those into live edge slabs or lumber so they can be made into something special. Even if the tree was knocked down in a storm or simply died, it can be sawn.
Once sawn, you take the material back to stack to air dry the lumber. It can be used after its air dried (timeframe varies greatly by species, thickness cut, and location they are stacked) or brought to a kiln to be further dried and kill any bugs that may be inside the wood, which is the best route for indoor uses. It's a long process, but worth it, especially for the tree that you grew up with or maybe even planted!
Every single tree species can be turned into and used as lumber, no matter the size. From a towering oak/maple/ash all the way down to an apple/pear/cherry tree, for example.
If you're not a woodworker, you probably know one that could build something for you. If not, I can recommend several.
My saw is not portable, so the logs have to come to me. I am located in Forest Junction, next to Brillion. 25 mins from Appleton or Green Bay. If you don't have the means to load/transport the logs, I can help arrange that.
The mill can handle 30" max diameter and 22'5" max length. I can also cut logs as short as 12" long and/or as small as 6" diameter. My rate is $50 an hr plus $25 for every blade that gets damaged from any non wood material inside your logs.
I also have many species of lumber and live edge slabs available for purchase. I am available by appointment only.
