If you are looking for a young horse with a solid foundation who is ready to continue his journey, meet this 5-year-old Appaloosa gelding, Gazpacho (Gus). Gus has been a consistent trail companion and is ready for his next partner.
Experience & Handling
• Trail Miles: He has been hauled and ridden on diverse terrain in both West Virginia and Wisconsin. He handles trailer loading and new environments well.
Shows: He has been hauled to a couple of fun shows, giving him exposure to different atmospheres.
Care: He is maintained on a rigorous wellness program. He is up to date on his farrier trims, Coggins, and regular chiropractic adjustments. Every horse on the property receives regular chiropractic care as part of their routine wellness program to keep them comfortable and feeling their best.
Riding Style & Best Fit
Gus is broke out at the walk, trot and canter. He currently prefers a slower pace and is definitely "more whoa than go."
Because he is a young horse that still requires consistent guidance to reach his full potential, he is best suited for a confident intermediate rider or someone working with a trainer to continue his education. So while he may occasionally offer a small protest crow hop, he rides right through it and is in no way, mean, nasty or dangerous. He is a willing (but lazier) partner who just needs more mileage and consistent handling to become a finished horse.
