Peterson Bluebird nesting box has been developed and refined over the last 30 years by Dick Peterson of Minnesota. The box features a large steep roof to provide protection from the summer sun and to make predation by raccoons and cats more difficult, the oval entrance makes it easy for the adults to feed there young without going into the box. I use 1"x12" lumber for the sides. The door opens easy for cleanout when the brood leaves the nest. Great Christmas gift for the bird watcher.
I have 3 made up ready to go. $30 per box, painted $40, built to last years.
