Professional Vegetation Management Services is a business of weed and brush management in the areas of aquatics, industrial sites, rights-of-way and forested areas through the use of herbicides, mechanical equipment, hand tools and IPM throughout the Mid-West. This is a full-time with overtime seasonal position, starting at $25.00. Position expected start date May 4th, pending pesticide applicator certification.
Duties include planning, routing and herbicide application to Utility Rights-of-Way, Electric Substations, Storage Yards and other similar areas.
Requirements:
-Ability to work with or without supervision.
-Ability to follow safety procedures.
-Read maps, utilize GPS, and plan daily routes to treatment sites.
-Have or be able to pass Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator Certification exam.
-Driver's License with a good driving record.
-Must pass criminal background check.
-Work full time with overtime, avrg. 12 hours/day.
-Overnight travel required both in and out of state, Monday-Thursday night and 2 or 3 weekends throughout growing season. Other weekend work optional.
-Experience with mixing/applying herbicides, plant identification, ability to trouble shoot small engines, pumps & plumbing of spray equipment a plus.
