Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment. This position plays a vital role in supporting efficient distribution processes and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety within the warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with inventory stocking, organization, and maintenance using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock levels.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts as needed.
Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently, verifying contents against shipping documents.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks following safety protocols.
Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to company standards.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory updates within the warehouse management system.
Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to coordinate timely dispatches and arrivals.
Assist in cycle counts and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
Support e-commerce order fulfillment processes by picking and packing items for online orders.
Utilize MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems) such as AS400 or similar platforms for inventory tracking and replenishment.
Follow safety procedures consistently to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution operations.
Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 or similar ERP platforms.
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with order picking & packing techniques.
Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and calculations related to order fulfillment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
Previous experience in e-commerce fulfillment is a plus but not mandatory.
