It's essentially a privacy phone.
Note: The phone must be connected to Wi-Fi to phone home, and it must be updated before it can be unlocked to install the custom ROM, not just the OEM setting. The system carrier Straight Talk had a service in 2023 that allowed it to be unlocked if you used it for 2 months with an activation fee. It's way past that.
Note: That doesn't guarantee that it will be used for every carrier. I have to check the carrier's website with the IMEI number to be 100% sure it will work with the carrier you want it to. Bring your own phone.
