Selling my set of Honda XR650L studded tires and rims. These will fit many many years of XR models. Not sure on all of them, but mine is a 1999. Price is FIRM! Too pricey? Don't Ask! They will look cool on the wall in my shop because of the Thoughts and Labor and Time invested on a Good Idea. Just too old to go out in the cold anymore! I picked these rims up 4 years ago and studded them up in a "New Way". I used to live out on the ice years ago and used screw in studs. I got sick of them flinging out so I came up with a plan. These tires both have 1 1/2" Tap Con Concrete screws predrilled from the inside of the tire, through a flat washer, then a 1/4" nut cross threaded on to hold in place. Very Very hard and strong screws! On top of that, every nut is also tac-welded onto screw on outside of tire so they won't fling off. Rear wheel is lined with a 17" street tire inside with sidewalls trimmed down as the old school way With brand new heavy duty tube and Ready To Go! Front wheel is ready to line the interior, and I have brand new rim band and heavy duty inner tube. Just gave up on the project. Studs in pictures seem to be different from front wheel to rear wheel, but remember the tire thickness differences. Also after welding all nuts on the Tap Cons discolored a bit, never been used. Rims are aluminum and both have brake rotors and rear has stock sprocket. Simple change to be ready for ice or visa versa. I have $500.00 invested just in parts and I had the tire laying around, not to mention about 40+ hours of time etc. plus welding...Never put wheels on my bike so you might have to trim studs down a bit on front tire to not tear up shock boots...not sure. If you appreciate the process of studding up a bike for the ice, you'll appreciate the price if FIRM! call or text 920-TWO 79-2874 daytime after 4:00 pm. DO NOT E-MAIL!!!!
