🚴 1985 Centurion Cinelli Equipe — Rare Italian Steel Road Bike | 61cm | $1,000
This is not your average vintage road bike.
The Centurion Cinelli Equipe was a one-year-only (1985) joint venture between
Western States Imports (Centurion USA) and Cinelli of Italy — one of the most
celebrated collaborations in American cycling history. Fewer than 50 are believed
to exist. The frames were built at the Chirico factory outside Milan, the same shop
that produced Cinelli's own Super Corsa models. This is as Italian as it gets with
a Centurion decal on it.
This particular bike was custom built and painted for a racer — Greg Hollub's name
is lettered on the top tube. The paint is a stunning deep purple-black that shifts
color in different light. It was built to race, and it shows in the component spec.
WHY AM I SELLING?
This bike is too big for me — I'm 5'10" and always felt like I was falling into it.
At 61cm this bike wants a rider 6'1" and up who can really fill it out. That rider
is not me, and this machine deserves to be ridden properly.
CONDITION:
Used but good. Normal ride wear and a few paint chips consistent with a bike that
was actually raced. All components functional.
This bike is for the rider or collector who knows what Columbus SL, investment cast
Cinelli lugs, and a one-year production run actually mean. It won't last long with
the right person.
Local pickup preferred. Cash or Venmo. Serious inquiries only — please know what
